At Novadoc in Utrecht, a warm family business with a team of driven specialists, you are not just your average ICT administrator. You will manage our IT infrastructure (VMware Vsphere, Linux OS, Proxmox, Microsoft 365, Intune, you know the drill), but you will also be involved in SLA & Incident Management for our clients and several organisation-wide projects such as ISO27000-1 and the recalibration of our business continuity plan.

Job description ICT Administrator
As an ICT Administrator within our company, you will be primarily responsible for the daily management and optimisation of our IT environment. You understand that IT Operations is more than just servers, networks, laptops and telephones. You play a crucial role in managing our IT infrastructure and ensure that all systems and applications function optimally within the framework of relevant regulations. You provide support to employees and ensure a safe and efficient digital working environment.

In addition, you will also play a key role in optimising our infrastructure for the digital transformation of and at our clients.

In addition to your own ICT management, you will also play a role in SLA and incident management. Our clients, for whom we work under an SLA, sends in tickets. These must be assessed and distributed among the technical consultants, progress must be monitored and

communicated/reported, and SLA reports must be drawn up periodically. Within this process, you will form an important link between the client, technical consultants and Novadoc management.

 

This position is ideally suited to ICT managers who already have experience in a similar role and are now ready for the next step, in which they can work more independently. Naturally, Novadoc has sufficient knowledge and expertise to guide you and support you in your decisions and challenges.​

 

Key responsibilities:

1. Migration from VMware to Proxmox

  • This migration has yet to be started and will therefore also become part of your remit.

2. VMware and Server Management

4. Manage VMware until it is replaced by Proxmox.

3. Setup and management of Proxmox environment

  • Configure, maintain and optimise Proxmox environments.

  • Create and manage virtual machines (VMs).

  • Monitor and resolve performance and capacity issues within the virtualisation infrastructure.

4. Microsoft licence and application management

  • Managing Microsoft licences and applications, including Office 365 and related services.

  • Configuring and managing Microsoft Intune for device management.

  • Maintaining compliance and security settings within Microsoft ecosystems.

5. Laptop and Telephone Management

  • Rolling out, configuring and maintaining laptops and mobile devices.

  • Implementing and managing Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.

  • Providing support for setting up and managing company phones.

6. Application & Licence Management

  • Managing licences and user accounts for other business applications.

  • Coordinating with suppliers for updates, support and optimisations of applications.

  • Documenting settings and processes for consistent use and management.

7. General IT Management

  • Maintaining a secure and efficient IT infrastructure. Implementing security measures and keeping antivirus and other security tools up to date.

  • Proactively monitoring and resolving IT issues within the network, systems and applications.

8. SLA & Incident management

  • Assessing received tickets and responding to telephone reports.

  • Contacting clients to clarify incidents.

  • Assigning incidents to technical consultants.

  • Monitoring progress.

  • Communicating progress to clients, initiating escalation procedures if necessary.

  • Periodically compiling SLA reports.

  • Participate in SLA/incident management meetings.

9. General

  • As we are a small company, we may sometimes ask you to assist us with other tasks that need to be done.

 

Desired profile:
  • At least a completed higher professional education (HBO) degree in ICT management, IT infrastructure or a similar field.

  • Able to perform tasks (largely) independently, which is why 1 to 5 years of work experience as an ICT Administrator is relevant.

  • Experience with VMware or similar virtualisation platforms (experience with Proxmox is an advantage).

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Intune.

  • Knowledge of laptop configuration, imaging and Mobile Device Management.

  • Knowledge of and experience with RedHat OpenShift is an advantage.

  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive work attitude.

  • Good communication skills and customer focus.

  • Hands-on mentality.

  • There are often ad hoc tasks that need to be done (quickly), so flexibility is important.

Basics:
